The Buick decided to expand the Verano line by the Turbo modification which engine makes 250 h/p and the torque in 260 lb-ft (353 Nm). This engine is a 122 cu in (2, 0-liter) Ecotec one with a direct fuel injection.
The Turbo version accelerates (not like the
regular Verano) from 0 to 60 mph in about 6, 2 seconds while the fuel
consumption (though he numbers are not final yet) as the GM claims, will have
got the same efficiency as the whole line Buick's turbo-charged engines.
The assistant chief engineer, Amy Joss, when
saying about the Ecotec 2.0L declared that "The 2.0L turbo engine was
designed for refinement, higher output capabilities and reduced noise,"
"The way it sounds, the power delivery and the refined character are all
fitting of a luxury sedan with a fun side."
The Buick Verano Turbo of 2013 will hit the
market all over the US later the current year. It will rival against the Acura
ILX 2.4L -2013, the one which can produce only the
peak torque in 170 lb-ft.
There will also be as an option for the customers to tool up their Verano
Turbo with a 6-gear manual transmission.
