There was the joint project of the auto-producing company “Chrysler” and
the manufacturer of vehicle parts “Mopar” shown at the car show in Los Angeles.
The “Mopar” decided to install a 427, 2 cu in (7 liter) V8 Hemi engine under the hood of the new-comer! The power characteristics of Chrysler 300S speaking of the capacity of the power unit of the car will be 540 h/p or 590 h/p depending what engine will be chosen by “Mopar”, the aluminum 426 Generation III Hemi V8 or 426 Gen III High Output HEMI V8. The number "426" in the car’s name specifies the size of the engine installed which is expressed in cubic inches.

Besides the powerful engine the car has got a posh interior and the remade
sport suspension brackets. Also it became known at this exhibition that
engineers the Chrysler company worked over the exhaust pipe system too as was
told by the head of the company, Saad Chehab.
