In April of
this year the off-road car Mercedes GL of a new generation which has got rather
impressive sizes and a new, more modern shape was presented to the world.
The
presented configuration and range of engines has surprised quite a few as there
was no flagman model of an off-road car in a line, and in fact the Mercedes
concern always emphasizes the range of the vehicles with its most charged version.
And only one
and a half month later the German company made official photos of the flagman
version of Mercedes GL 63 AMG available - which can be recognize first of all
by 21-inch exclusive wheel rims. Also this version stands out with its front and
rare side bumpers, enlarged air inlets and better branch pipes of its exhaust
system. The main distinction of the interior can be truly considered its front
sits and a sport steering wheel, however, the main thing that GL 63 AMG can certainly
brag with is situated under its hood - that is: its powerful 550 h/p V8 engine with
335, 6 cu in (5, 5-liters) capacity, signature AMG Speedshift automatic 7 gear
transmission, active suspension tacking Ride Сontrol.
Such a power
unit allows sport all wheel drive Mercedes GL 63 AMG to take run up to hundred less than in 5 seconds. Thus the
declared average consumption of fuel is 12 liters per 100 K.
The price of
the flagman Mercedes GL 63 AMG model is unknown for now, most likely, we will
find out about it closer to the rfelease of this off-road vehicle, and it will
happened as it became already known, in the beginning of November of 2012.
