The supercar Dodge Viper 2013 became themost expected car at the New
York motor show 2012. The prototyping and designing of the new Viper were carried
out by the SRT engineers division of the Crysler company. The production of
Vipers was stopped in 2010 and the question about the creation of new models remained
opened for a long of time. And we have to thank to the enthusiasm of SRT experts
that the super-car Dodge Viper managed to get in a new circuit of its legendary
history.
There is not a lot of differences in design of the new Dodge Viper comparing
to the predecessor. The sport car kept its main allocated lines of a long bonnet
and the cabin shifted towards the rare part of the vehicle. Speaking about new
details of design it is necessary to mark the cut sizes radiator grille, the modified
tail lights, new bi-xenon optics with photodiode «cilia» lights and unique
wheel rims of a kind.
Wishing to improve characteristics of the Dodge Viper, SRT engineers
designed a new hood, roofing and boot lid made of carbon. Its doors are of
aluminum. These innovations allowed reducing the weight of the car by 99, 21
lbs and it affected positively the dynamics of the Viper.
There is a 512, 6 cu in (8, 4-liter) 10-cylinder 640 h/p V10 engine
installed under the hood of it. The Maximum torque of the motor is 813 N-m. All
this incredible power is getting transferred to the back axle by the Tremec
TR6060 transmission. The Tremec gearbox is fully mechanical and has got 6 gears.
The SRT experts tooled up the Dodge Viper with a completely new modification
of the rare part two-level suspension bracket in order to get the best road- traction which can be adjusted for achieving the desirable control of
the car. There are used powerful brakes ‘Brembo’ for stopping the nova. Also the
vehicle is equipped with a system of stabilizing of the car on the road which
has got four possible operating modes.
As for the interior we can say that it became much better than the one
of the predecessor. Now it gratifies with leather lining, a completely
electronic dashboard, a multimedia system operated through a 8,4-inch touch
screen which is located in the central panel.
Comparing the old version with the new Dodge Viper we can’t but mention
that it became much better and got rid of the drawbacks of the previous modification
and this should please the fans of this brand.
The price of the new Dodge Viper 2013 still remains unannounced. And the
dates of the sales beginning of this muscle super car are also unknown.
