The Hyundai Santa Fe 2013 was finally unveiled
and the covers came off at the New York Car Show 2012.
It’s easy to say that we saw the new Santa Fe by
now as there were so many leaked images, spy photos and teasers, but now after
having a look at those numerous pictures of the exterior and interior just once
we may understand right away what kind of a really big step forward was made by
the builders of this model.
The 7-seater version dimensions are 192, 1
inches (4’905 mm) in length, 66, 5 inches (1,690 mm) in height and 74, 2 inches
(1’885 mm) in width, and the wheelbase is a 110.2 inches (2’800 mm) long, while
the Santa Fe Sport is a little bit shorter, its length is 184.6 inches (4,690
mm), 66, 1 inches (1’680 mm) in height, 74 inches (1’880 mm) in width and the
wheelbase of 106, 3 inches (2’700 mm).
There are some styling features too according to
which we can distinguish these two variants, speaking about the powering the
Santa Fe will be available to order being equipped with a 201, 4 cu in (3,
3-liter) V6 GDI gasoline 290 h/p engine while the Santa Fe Sport will be
produced tooled up two different patrol engines; the choices will be: a 146, 5
cu in (2, 4-liter) 190 h/p GDI and 181 lb-ft or a 122 cu in (2, 0-liter) 264
h/p turbo engine and 269 lb-ft.
All engines are teamed up with a 6-gear
automatic transmissions and the Hyundai company expects the fuel consumption
Santa Fe Sport will be 23/33/26 mpg (city/highway/combined), while the version
with a 264 h/p version will achieve 22/31/25 mpg (city/highway/combined).
The Hyundai Santa Fe 2013 hit the market this summer
but the LWB 7-seater variant at the beginning of next year when the production
of it starts.
