Ford Pinto in Indiana
1978. On this day three teenage girls fall
victim to a fatal accident where their Ford Pinto 1973 was rammed by a van and
bursts into flames on a highway in Indiana. This crash was just one of a number
those when the ‘Pinto’ was involved. A nation-wide scandal was caused by it in
the 70s.
