The massive tire recall of
Bridgestone/Firestone
2000. On this day the well-known tire-producing
company ‘Bridgestone/Firestone Inc.’ recalled 6, 5 million of its model Wilderness
AT, ATX and ATX II tires. It happened two days after the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration gave their explanations on hundred of linked
hundreds of traffic accidents (even 46 deaths occurred) and linked to the tires
tread issue.
