The Lincoln MKZ 2013 is a new mid-size luxury
section challenger was firstly presented as a concept at the Detroit Motor
Show. And now we can see production version which has got some changes in its
style, particularly at the rear part where a different kind of its boot lid we
be observed now.
The car design was created by a special group in
Lincoln's new workshop; the MKZ 2013 represents a drastic profile, one widest
opened extensible glass roofing, a "quiet, well-appointed interior" and
exclusive equipments such as the Lincoln Drive Control system. It is an
intuitive system that unites various appliances for the purpose of the ensuring
a amended and amusing riding or the Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD)
adjustable suspension which has got three variable modes: Normal, Comfort and
Sport.
There are three modifications of power-train
available for the Lincoln MKZ 2013. The options are a 122 cu in (2, 0-liter)
4-cylinder 240 h/p turbo engine in its basic version
which makes 270 lb-ft of driving torque, a 225,
8 cu in (3, 7-liter) 300 h/p V6 engine producing 277 lb-ft of torque and a 122
cu in (2, 0-liter) Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder engine as a part of a hybrid unit
which also uses an electric motor to give 188 h/p in total.
The 122 cu in (2.0-liter) turbo and the 225, 8
cu in (3.7-liter) V6 power units plants are teamed up with a 6-gear
auto-transmissions and available in FWD and AWD configurations, and as it was
announced by the Lincoln company the fuel consumption levels would be 22 mpg
/33 mpg (city /highway) and 18 mpg / 26 mpg accordingly.
The hybrid modification is tooled up with a CVT
gear-box and the fuel consumption level is not known for now.
The MKZ 2013 version will hit the market this
fall but its prices are not announced yet.
