Lotus Esprit by Cam Shaft



A black race car styling design for the Lotus Esprit was created by the Cam Shaft Premium Wrapping company which looks like the legendary John Player Special 97T. The one that was driven by Ayrton Senna drove in Estoril in 1985 when it was his first time winning in the ‘Formula 1’ tournament.

This particular styling is associated with his start number ‘12’, and there is a 213, 9 cu in (3’506 cu cm) V8 354 h/p (260 kW) engine and 400 N-m of driving torque under the hood of the standard version which has been upgraded by software modifications up to 492 h/p (362 kW), renewed turbo compressor pumps, a self-dedicated cooling system of compressor and also two 100-cell frame catalyst converters.


The vehicle has got also a 6-gear Dog-Engagement transmission fitted up with a longer total ratio and lost the original 5-gear one made by Renault. These all changes resulted decreasing the acceleration time from 4, 731 seconds when it boosts from 0 up to 60 mph and its maximum speed of 175, 2 mph to 4,152 seconds and 189, 5 mph respectively.

The braking system of high performance equipped by 12, 99 in perforated discs is also a part of Cam Shaft's upgrade schema for the Lotus Esprit.
